Zeitung oder gar Broschüren,
die zum berichten gar verführen,
sehr interessant, oder gar grell,
wenn’s für mich erscheint, aktuell,
will ich gern davon berichten,
ganz schnell, in kleinen Versen
und Gedichten. So kann ich es
am besten hier euch „sagen“ und
manch ein Thema, ist sogar dann
viel, viel besser so zu ertragen.

It is a great privilege to have a poem given such close and thoughtful reading: thank you. I am especially pleased that you chose 'Prefabs': I think the sounds and rhythms of the translated versions convey the mood of the poem really effectively. It was a pleasure to be in email contact with Julie concerning a particularly compressed phrase in the poem. Although not fluent myself, I find the similarities and differences between the three translations fascinating, and look forward to discussing them with German speaking friends.
