Das Interview was wir mit dem Kopf der BlackBerry Developer Relations anlässlich der BlackBerry Alliance Summit in Berlin geführt haben ist nun online verfügbar . Danke an alle die Fragen formuliert hatten.
Sie wurden recht vielschichtig, wir hatten Themenbereiche wie Mikes Sicht auf JavaME, das neue WebWorks, ihre OpenSource Strategie und natürlich QNX, das neue Betriebssystem.
Danke auch an Cortado , die uns die Technik geliehen und die Nachbearbeitung übernommen haben.
Ein kurzer Auszug:
BBDG : Will we see more OpenSource from RIM ?
Mike: I think so. Definitely [..] you're gonna start to see more products from RIM under that site GitHub.
is planned including the recent publication of the JDE samples, so that of the community itself can be improved and are under a clear, legally secure OS license.
But also bad news: the new QNX will remain closed source for the acquisition by RIM.
As part of this, we also asked how long it will put even the BlackBerry Java ME or whether they will rely on an SE variant such as Android. And since we made the Mike Hope:
Mike : There is still a future for ME but we have to recognize that the capabilities of the platform and the products has changed dramatically [..] does the devi 
ces o f the future have the horse power to use SE instead of ME? [..] I think ME is gonna have a fut ure but in all honesty it's probably a limited roadmap.
BBDG : Is it the same for BlackBerry and JavaME?
Mike : Yes I think so. [..] with the opportunity of BlackBerry PlayBook and beeing able to bring different platforms there we're looking at what makes most sense from a java perspective, certainly evaluating all the different technologies
